Privacy Policy

AGBoard - PCBEditor ("the app") processes your PCB files entirely on your device. We do not collect, track, sell or share your personal data. This policy explains the app's limited network use and what stays local.

Data and tracking

The app does not collect personal data and contains no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking SDKs. It does not create an AGBoard account or advertising identifier.

Your PCB files

Gerber, Excellon, DXF, ODB++, Eagle, Landrex BoardView, netlist and component placement files that you open are read and processed locally on your iPhone or iPad. They are never uploaded to us or to any third party. Once App Store access has been verified, viewing and editing your boards does not use an AGBoard server. The thumbnails and previews the app draws in the Files app are made the same way: by the app's own extensions, on your device, from the file itself.

Version verification

When the app starts or becomes active, it requests https://agboard-app.com/version.json only to compare the installed version with the latest published version, so it can offer an update you are free to dismiss. The request does not include PCB files, account or payment data, or an identifier used for analytics or advertising. As with any HTTPS connection, the hosting service receives the IP address needed to return the file; AGBoard does not use this request for tracking.

When — and only when — such an update is offered, the app also requests https://itunes.apple.com/lookup to read the release notes Apple publishes for that version, so they can be shown to you before you decide. That request carries nothing but the app's own App Store identifier: no PCB files, no account, payment or device data, and no identifier used for analytics or advertising. Apple receives the IP address needed to answer it, as with any HTTPS connection.

Subscriptions

Purchases and subscription status are handled by Apple through StoreKit and your Apple Account. AGBoard receives only the verified entitlement needed to unlock the app; we do not receive your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to App Store transactions.

Settings stored on your device

The app stores your preferences (such as display options, saved component parser profiles and recent files) and the number of free file opens already used locally on your device. The free-open counter is also kept in the iOS Keychain so a normal reinstall on the same device does not reset it. Whether your subscription is active, and until when, is kept in storage shared only between the app and its own Files extensions, so they know whether to draw a preview. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Photo library

If you choose to export a board image, the app asks permission to save that image to your photo library. The app only writes the image you explicitly export; it does not read or browse your existing photos.

Sharing and exports

When you export a PNG, PDF, CSV report or project file, that file is created on your device and shared only through the destinations you choose via the standard iOS share sheet. Those destinations (for example Mail or Files) are governed by their own privacy policies.

If you tap Send to developer, the app prepares an email to support with a description of the problem and, only if you choose it, the file concerned attached. Nothing is sent by the app: the message reaches us only if you send it from your own email account, and we use it only to answer you and fix the problem.

Children's privacy

The app does not collect data from anyone, including children. It is rated 4+.

Your rights

The controller for the limited processing described above is the publisher named on the Legal Notice page.

The version check is served over HTTPS, and the hosting provider records the IP address needed to return the file in its own server logs. That is the only personal data involved, its legal basis is our legitimate interest in telling you when an update is required, and it is retained only for the period the hosting provider applies to its logs. We do not read those logs, combine them with anything, or use them to identify you.

Where the GDPR or a comparable law applies to you, you may ask for access to your data, its rectification or erasure, a restriction of the processing, or object to it, and you may ask to receive it in a portable form. Write to support@agboard-app.com; we answer at the address you write from, since we hold no account to identify you by.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In France that is the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Website analytics and cookies

This section concerns the website only, not the AGBoard app. With your consent, this website loads Google Analytics (Google tag G-Z0X5FF64JF) to measure visits, traffic sources and pages viewed. Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, and cookie identifiers. Analytics cookies may remain for up to 180 days. Advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google signals are disabled by this integration.

No Google Analytics script or request is loaded before you accept, or if you refuse. Both choices are offered equally and are remembered in your browser's local storage for 180 days. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Refusing after accepting disables further collection and removes accessible Analytics cookies; it does not erase data already sent to Google. Refusing does not affect access to the website.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
